Texas forward Severson earns call to the NAHL

The NA3HL’s Texas Brahma’s are pleased to announce that Forward Jon Severson has been called up to play in the NAHL for the Lone Star Brahmas for this weekend’s action against the Odessa Jackalopes.
Severson recently won the NA3HL South Division Easton Player of the Week honors this past week for his 4 point performance in 2 games, including a hat trick in a 3-2 OT win against division rival the Dallas Jr Stars.
“Jon joined us last week and made an immediate impact for us in the 2 games he played, had a great attitude, was a difference maker in both games and is being rewarded for his performance”, said Head Coach Al Rooney. “This is what we want to see from and for our players in this organization, opportunities to make a difference and move up.”
Severson has previous NAHL experience, last season splitting time with Springfield and Coulee Region, but hadn’t yet found a home for this season. Enter the Brahmas and Severson has made the most of the opportunity presented to him.
“He’s a great kid with a great attitude, he has a quick shot and plays all 3 zones on the ice. I’m expecting him to do good things once again for the Brahmas this time at the NAHL level," added Rooney.
