Friday Finals: Royals, Fighting Spirit get wins

L/A Fighting Spirit 6 vs. East Coast Minutemen 2 - Kyle Secor netted a hat trick to lead Lewiston/Auburn over East Coast, 6-2. Secor's first goal came 16:04 into the second period. He then added goals at 7:55 into the third and at 17:38 into the third. Lewiston/Auburn additionally got points from Thomas Puetz, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Colby Siering, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Lewiston/Auburn also got a goal from Brett Bittner as well. More assists for Lewiston/Auburn came via Mike Heffernan, Dylan Vrees, Austin Davis, and Laim McGrath, who each chipped in one and Daniel Heffernan and Alexander Friend, who contributed three each.East Coast was helped by Jon Mathieu, who registered one goal. Mathieu scored 18:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 East Coast. Kyler Harding assisted on the tally. East Coast also got points from Mason Smith, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, East Coast received assists from Matt Bauchman and Jon Macdonald, who each chipped in one.
Roc City Royals 3 vs. Jersey Shore 2 - Roc City climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat Jersey Shore, 3-2. Roc City never led in the game until netting the game winner. Roc City was down 2-0 after a power play goal by Jersey Shore's Scott Hansen at 1:44 in the second period. Roc City knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Cameron Clark at 8:29 in the second period. Roc City netted the game winner on the power play at 18:04 in the second period on a goal by Clark. Matt Corey had a great game for Roc City, netting two goals. Other players who recorded assists for Roc City were Anthony DePetres, who had two and Nicholas Cignarale, Sam Cammilleri, and Justin Allen, who contributed one each. Jersey Shore's offense rang up 31 shots on Roc City's net. Jersey Shore was helped by Jared Karas, who registered one goal. Karas scored on the power play 11:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Jersey Shore. Christian Cooley picked up the assist. In addition, Jersey Shore received assists from John Rubin, Bogdan Khvatov, and Dylan Plsek, who each chipped in one. Patrick Massey recorded 29 saves for Roc City. Jersey Shore's Breadan Colgan stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced.
