Chicago 1 @ La Crosse 13 - La Crosse had an eight-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 13-1 win over Chicago.
Sam Wenner was all over the ice for La Crosse, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Wenner scored 11:38 into the first period to make the score 2-0 La Crosse. Daniel Toycen picked up the assist.
La Crosse forced Chicago's goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 55 shots and forcing 42 saves. Matt Memelo made 20 stops and Ryall Purdy made 22.
La Crosse also got points from JP Eykyn, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Ben Johnson, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Hunter Dolan, who also registered one goal and two assists, Toycen, who also had two goals and one assist, Mick Nisbet, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Noah Hallbeck, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Dylan Goggin, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Ben Henderson, who also had two goals and one assist. La Crosse also had goals scored by Hunter Breza and Kadin Machusak, who each put in one. In addition, La Crosse received assists from Taylor Trapp, who had three, Andrew Wagner, Justin Edwards, Brady Thiering, and Matt Wolter, who contributed one each, and Alexander Rickoff and Reid Brown, who each chipped in two.
Chicago was led by David Rutkowski, who scored the team's only goal. Rutkowski scored 17:59 into the first period to make the score 3-1 La Crosse. Daniel Spano provided the assist.
Andrew Wagner made 20 saves for La Crosse on 21 shots.
