Gillette forward Holwegner makes college commitment

The Gillette Wild of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Riley Wolwegner has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for Minot State University.
Holwegner, 20, just completed his second and final season of playing in the NA3HL. The native of Bismarck, North Dakota, had a career season in 2016-17 as he went for 73 points in 43 regular season games, which included 32 goals and 41 assists.
Holwegner (5’10/190) was also selected to and played in the 2017 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the White team, where he had three points in three games.
In 2015-16, Holwegner split time in the NA3HL between the Wild and the Alexandria Blizzard, recording 20 points in 43 games.
Overall in his NA3HL career, he has recorded 93 points in 86 regular season games.
His is the second Wild player from this past season to make a college commitment.
