Bandits headed to North Division finals

April 10, 2011

The St. Louis Bandits advanced to the North Division finals of the Robertson Cup Playoffs after winning the decisive Game 5 of their semifinals series over the Janesville Jets on Sunday, 4-0.

Bandits goaltender Tom Comunale stopped all 22 shots he faced in the victory, and forwards Chris Ciotti and Ryan Stouffer each connected for a goal and an assist.

The Bandits, the North's regular-season champions, will play Michigan Warriors in the division finals.

The other teams to advance to the division finals are the West's Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Wenatchee Wild; Central's Coulee Region Chill; and South's Amarillo Bulls.

The two remaining divisional semifinals are tied at 2-2: the Central's Bismarck Bobcats-Alexandria Blizzard series and South's Topeka RoadRunners-Wichita Falls Wildcats series. Both Game 5s are scheduled for Monday, April 11.
