Brahmas double up Stars on Thursday

Texas 4 @ Mid Cities 2 – In a first round playoff preview on Thursday night, the Texas Brahmas beat the Mid Cities Jr. Stars, 4-2. After a scoreless 1st period, the Brahmas took a 2-0 lead in the 2nd period with goals from Michael Redmon and Findlay Wood. The Stars closed the gap to 2-1 in the 3rd period with a goal from Brandon Speights, but two more goals from Kellen Ireland and Parker Mara put the game out of reach. Brady Nelson had the other goal for the Stars. Brahmas goalie Runyan made 20 saves in the win, while Kenton Kim made 27 saves in the loss. Boxscore
