Binghamton goalie Zero makes NCAA commitment

The Binghamton Junior Senators of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Jeff Zero has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Elmira College.

 

Zero, 20, has spent the last two seasons with Binghamton in the NA3HL. The 6’4/210 lbs. native of Clifton Township, Pennsylvania, was statistically the top goalie in the NA3HL this past season, posting a 17-3-0 record with a league-best 1.71 goals against average and a .950 save percentage.

 

Zero was also selected to and played in the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Northeast Division team.

 

In his two-year NA3HL career, Zero has posted a record of 25-4-0.

 

"Jeff Zero has lived up to his name this season. He has been the backstop to our Championship-caliber team this season. He has been one of the main reasons behind our success. All year long I have stressed attitude and effort. Jeff's attitude and effort has been tremendous this season. Elmira is getting a quality goaltender, who will win many, many games for them in his four-year career there. Our staff can't wait to watch Jeff at Elmira next season,” said Binghamton head coach Anthony Langevin.

 

The Binghamton Junior Senators have now moved on all five 1998-born players onto College Hockey, which is 100% of their age-outs.

 

"We harp development, exposure, and player placement. From our unlimited ice time from 7am-5pm to our individual video sessions between our morning and afternoon practices, our goal is to move on all our players onto the next level in their careers. For younger players, we do our best to promote and move on to the North American Hockey League. For our older guys, we move them onto College Hockey programs with them putting in the time and work,” said Langevin.
