Alexandria duo of Giorgio, Mattson make NCAA commitments

The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forwards Dylan Giorgio and Dylan Mattson has both made NCAA commitments.
Giorgio has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Bethel University and Mattson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Giorgio, 20, just completed his second season playing in the NA3HL for the Blizzard. The 5’10/170 lbs. native of Brookeville, Maryland, ranked 2nd in team scoring during the 2018-19 regular season with 57 points (19 goals, 38 assists) in 46 games played. He was also selected to and played in the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the West Division team.
Giorgia began his junior hockey career in the NAHL with the Bismarck Bobcats, where he played in 22 games during the 2017-18 season. He later joined the Blizzard that season and posted 31 points in just 13 games.
Overall in his NA3HL career, he has posted 88 points in 59 games played.
Mattson, 20, just completed his first and only season of junior hockey with the Blizzard in the NA3HL. The 5’10/174 lbs. native of Hibbing, Minnesota, recorded 29 points (10 goals, 19 assists) in 47 games played during the 2018-19 season.
“We are very proud of Dylan and Dylan on their recent commitments too two great schools. The Blizzard organization looks forward to watching these two fine young men pursue their hockey careers and education,” said Blizzard head coach Jeff Crouse. “Dylan was a player who I received from Bismarck two years ago and came in with a great attitude and work ethic. Dylan was a player that took a year off and decided to play hockey this past season. By the end of the season he was one of my best players and arguably my playoff MVP.”
