NA3HL announces monthly player awards for November

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of November. The Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month is Dylan Rumpke of the Yellowstone Quake. The Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month is Tami Merilainen of the Northeast Generals. The Vaughn NA3HL Goaltender of the Month is Viktor Wennberg of the Great Falls Americans. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NA3HL monthly awards.
Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month: Dylan Rumpke, Yellowstone Quake
Rumpke was as consistent as they come in November, scoring at least one goal AND one assist in every single game en route to 30 points in 10 contests. Rumpke highlighted his remarkable month with three game-winning tallies and two hat-tricks, and logged three or more points in five of his 10 outings. After a comparably quiet September/October slate with 5g-8a—13pts in 14 games, Rumpke’s season totals now sit at a whopping 20g-23a—43pts in just 24 contests following his sprint through November.

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month: Tami Merilainen, Northeast Generals
Merilainen saw NA3HL action just five times in November, but dictated the action whenever he stepped on the ice. With two points in each outing, Merilainen steadied the Generals’ blue line while helping to fuel their offensive punch. Following a two-assist outing on Nov. 10, Merilainen posted a goal and an assist in each of the remaining four games he played in for 4g-6a—10pts in his five games during November. The Finnish defenseman also logged a game-winner on Nov. 17.

Vaughn NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Viktor Wennberg, Great Falls Americans
Wennberg’s stellar season continued in November, where the net minder went 5-0-1 in his six appearances with a .960 save percentage and stingy 1.05 GAA to go with a pair of shutouts. After beginning the month with four straight wins to stretch his streak at the time to eight W’s in a row, Wennberg posted a .906 or higher in each contest en route to stopping 143 of 149 pucks in the month of November. Wennberg made at least 20 saves in each of the five games he started, and only allowed more than one goal in one game against the high-scoring Sheridan Hawks. Wennberg now boasts a .951 save percentage and 1.36 GAA on the year.
