Jr. Blues complete road sweep of Mustangs

St. Louis Jr. Blues 3 @ Peoria Mustangs 2 (OT) – Mark Capcovic scored just over a minute into overtime as the St. Louis Jr. Blues completed a weekend road sweep of the Peoria Mustangs on Sunday thanks to a 3-2 win. The Blues and the Mustangs both managed to hold the other off in the 1st period, and at the end of the 2nd the teams were tied 1-1 with Jacob Wiethaupt of the Blues scoring followed by Ian McHenry of the Mustangs. The Blues started off the 3rd period strong with a goal from Jake Stevenson just :15 in, only for the Mustangs to tie it up with a shot from Connor Bennet. Mark Capkovic of the Blues scored the final goal just 1:04 into overtime. Throughout the game Jr. Blues goalie William Oliver made 17 saves out of 19 shots on goal while Mustangs goalie Jaden Gardner made 30 saves of 33. Boxscore
