Friday Finals: Willmar stays in playoff hunt with 4th straight win

Breezy Point North Stars 2 @ Willmar WarHawks 5 - The Willmar WarHawks won against the Breezy Point North Stars, 5-2. Christopher Drews and Justin Ohnstad each scored in the 1st for the WarHawks. In the 2nd Mario Maietta of the North Stars scored followed by a goal from WarHawks forward Danny Klatt, only to be answered by a goal from Jaron Smith of the North Stars. Dylan Svoboda of the WarHawks scored twice in the 3rd period. WarHawks goalie Lukas Haugen made 25 saves of 27 while Griffin Foster of the North Stars made 54 of 59.
St. Louis Jr. Blues 4 @ North Iowa Bulls 6 - Thanks to a hat trick from Jordan Roo the North Iowa Bulls won against the St. Louis Jr. Blues, 6-4. The Bulls took the lead in the 1st with goals from Matt Dahlseide and Jordan Roo. In the 2nd period the Jr. Blues got on the board with goals from Clayton Dawe and Jacob Wiethaupt before the Bulls could put up three points, one from Carter Eha and two from Roo. Van Kraemer and Pavel Kopytin of the Jr. Blues scored in the 3rd before Eha of the Bulls could with just under :30 left in the game. Bulls goalies Evan Babekuhl made 23 saves of 27 and Joseph Daninger made 6 of 6 while William Oliver of the Jr. Blues made 25 of 30.
Texas Brahmas 6 @ Texas Roadrunners 0 - Thanks to a shutout from Kayden Hargraves the Texas Brahmas won against the Texas RoadRunners, 6-0. The Brahmas had two goals in the 1st from Gabe Potyk and Matej Palfy. In the 3rd the Brahmas added four to their lead with a goal each from Tyler Blanchard and Seth Wyatt-Manning and two from Jack Cooper. Brahmas goalie Kayden Hargraves made 14 saves in the win while RoadRunners goalie Cole Garver made 38 of 44 in the loss.
Granite City Lumberjacks 3 @ Alexandria Blizzard 6 - The Alexandria Blizzard won at home against the Granite City Lumberjacks, 6-3. The Blizzard got on the board in the 1st with a goal from Wesley Johnson. In the 2nd period the Blizzard stayed ahead with two goals from Brandon Connett and Michal Trejbal before Ryan Pogue of the Lumberjacks could score. The Blizzard added two to their lead in the 3rd from Nolan Westra and Connett only to be answered by goals from Blake Spetz and Jonah Jangula of the Lumberjacks. The final goal of the game came from Wyatt Blahosky of the Blizzard with :40 left. Goalie Ville Hyttinen of the the Blizzard made 30 saves of 33 while Nate Johnston of the Lumberjacks made 32 of 37.
Milwaukee Power 1 @ Wausau RiverWolves 7 - The Wausau RiverWolves defeated the Milwaukee Power, 7-1. In the 1st the RiverWolves put up two points from Sam Baker and Hayden Miller. The RiverWolves added to their lead in the 2nd with goals from Kasey Couture, Ian Raddatz, Tanner Eskro, and Robert Carlson. In the 3rd period Ryan Hoover of the Power scored :21 in followed by a goal from Baker of the RiverWolves. Goalie Joseph La Forge of the RiverWolves made 40 saves of 41 in the win while Power goalies Ty Barnhill made 30 of 35 and Joey Greilich made 21 of 23.
Bozeman Icedogs 6 @ Gillette Wild 3 - Thanks to Hazen McKay the Bozeman Icedogs traveled to defeat the Gillette Wild, 6-3. In the 1st Dennis Tamburo of the Icedogs scored only to be followed by a goal from Wild forward Austin Newson that was answered by Hazen McKay of the Icedogs. McKay scored for the Icedogs again before Mason Hoffman of the Wild could score in the 2nd. The Icedogs came back with two more goals from Christian Veneruzzo and Duncan McGarrah. In the 3rd period Pablo Palos of the wild scored only for McKay of the Icedogs to score. Icedogs goalie Domagoj Troha made 40 saves of 43 in the win while Wild goalie Brad Muzzarelli made 43 of 49 in the loss.
Great Falls Americans 5 @ Yellowstone Quake 2 - The Great Falls Americans won against the Yellowstone Quake, 5-2. The lone goal of the 1st came from Brody Boyce of the Americans. In the 2nd the Americans added two to their lead with goals from Braydon Rachow and Nick Silance, followed by two goals from the Brock Risdon and Will Yates of the Quake. The Americans kept their lead in the 3rd with goals from Jack Olson and Jake Hayes. Americans goalie Viktor Wennberg made 22 saves of 24 in the win while Logan Cooksy of the Quake made 38 of 43 in the loss.
Mid Cities Jr. Stars 2 @ Atlanta Capitals 4 - The Atlanta Capitals won at home against the Mid Cities Jr. Stars, 4-2. The Capitals got the first goal of the game in the 2nd from David Helpap only to be answered by a goal from Jr. Stars forward Zach Perez. Joey Allegrini of the Capitals scored to keep the lead. In the 3rd Kirill Nikulichev scored for the Capitals before Payton Carter could for the Jr. Stars. The last goal of the game came from forward Lucas Crawford of the Capitals with :01 left. Goalie Patrick Egdorf of the Capitals made 20 saves of 22 while Kenton Kim of the Jr. Stars made 34 of 37.
Missoula Junior Bruins 4 @ Butte Cobras 3 - The Missoula Junior Bruins won against the Butte Cobras, 4-3. Joe Erickson of the Cobras scored the only goal of the 1st. In the 2nd period the Junior Bruins put up three points from Kyler Fullerton, Mi-Kwan Tallman, and Billy Lucas before Robin Bagley could score for the Cobras. Kyler Garsjo on the Cobras scored early in the 3rd only to be answered by a goal from Tyler Prince of the Junior Bruins. Goalie Larkin Dolan of the Junior Bruins made 37 saves of 40 in the win while Danny Fielding of the Cobras made 55 of 59 in the loss.
Sheridan Hawks 4 @ Helena Bighorns 3 (SO) - Thanks to a shootout goal from Jacob Cummings the Sheridan Hawks won against the Helena Bighorns, 4-3. Dylan Ferreira put the Bighorns on the board early in the 1st, followed by a goal from Logan Syrup of the Hawks. In the 2nd the Hawks took the lead with two goals from Blake Billings and Mike Kocsis. The Bighorns tied it up in the 3rd with shots from Alec Sorby and Dane Rieger. In a shootout the Bighorns made one goal from Gavgn Galloway while the Hawks had two goals from Gavin Miller and Jacob Cummings. Hawks goalie Luke Fundator made 32 saves of 35 while Ethan Racz of the Bighorns made 45 of 48.
