St. Louis forward Ross makes college commitment

July 8, 2020

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Evan Ross has committed to play ACHA Division 1 hockey at Missouri State University.

Ross, 19, joined the Jr. Blues in October of this season and made an instant offensive mark, scoring a goal in only his second game with the club. The 5’11/175 lbs. native of Ladue, Missouri, ended the season with 12 goals and 8 assists for 20 points in 32 games, with five of those goals coming on the power-play.

Ross was also selected to play for the Central Division team at the 2020 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament in Attleboro, Mass., where he tallied one goal and one assist in three games played.

“Evan was an impactful player for us,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “He plays a fast game and was a big contributor to our special teams. Evan was used in all situations for us, and was also a big contributor in places not listed in a box score. We wish him all the best at Missouri State.”

Ross is the ninth member of the 2019-20 Jr. Blues to make a college commitment, and the third to announce he will play at Missouri State. Also joining him in Springfield is fellow forward Jake Wiethaupt, as well as defenseman Mark Capkovic.
