Alexandria forward Tushie signs NAHL tender

The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Colin Tushie has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Minnesota Magicians of the NAHL’s South Division.
Tushie, 19, just completed his first season of junior hockey in the NA3HL. The 5’11/176 lbs. native of Prior Lake, MN, was 2nd in team scoring during the 2020-21 season recording 29 points (17 goals, 12 assists) in 32 games played.
Tushie was named the West Division Star of the Week on March 23, as he recorded back-to-back hat-tricks in wins over New Ulm and Willmar.
Prior to playing for the Blizzard this season, Tushie spent three seasons playing for Prior Lake High School in Minnesota.
He is the first player from the Blizzard this season who has signed an NAHL tender.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
