The Milwaukee Power of the NA3HL are proud to announce that Top Prospects forward Tyler Nelson has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for Waldorf University.
Nelson, 20, came to Milwaukee as a free agent last summer and became an impact player.
"Tyler was a vital part to our offense last season," said Head Coach Nate Eminger. "His speed and shifty hands will be a major asset to Waldorf. We wish him the best of luck at the next level."
In his lone season in the NA3HL in 2020-21, Nelson put up 10 goals and 28 assists for 38 total points. The 5’8/155 lbs. native of Pleasanton, CA, also represented Milwaukee at the 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament where he had three assists in two games. He was also voted the Power's MVP by his teammates.
"I would like to thank the Power organization and staff for everything they have done this past season to help me with this opportunity," said Nelson. "I am looking forward to the next phase of my hockey career."
Nelson has previous experience playing in the NAPHL for the Madison Capitols 18U team during the 2017-18 season and the Janesville Jets 18U team during the 2018-19 season.
