Oklahoma City clinches final playoff spot in South

Caiden Hess had a hat-trick to lead the Generals to their 17th straight win on Monday.
Oklahoma City 5 @ Austin 0 – The Ice Hawks became the fourth and final team to clinch a playoff spot in the South Division as they shutout Austin, 5-0. Aaron Best had a hat-trick and an assist in the win and Andrew Owens made 18 saves for his first shutout of the season. After a scoreless 1st period, Oklahoma City came alive in the 2nd period with three goals from Robby Rabroker, Noah Henslee, and Best. In the 3rd period, Best would add two more goals to complete his hat-trick and secure the 5-0 win. Ice Bats goalie Sebastian Skarzenski made 58 saves in the losing effort.
Danbury 2 @ Northeast 11 – The Generals cruised to their 17th straight win as Caiden Hess had a hat-trick and Eddie Mulligan had a five-point game in an 11-2 win over Danbury. The Generals put the game away early as they scored five times in the 1st period, which included two goals from Hess and others from Payton Felix, Nolan Murphy, and Sean Gorman. In the 2nd period, the Generals scored four more times, including Hess’ hat-trick, one from Mulligan, another from Gorman, and one from Matthew Nuzzolilo. In the 3rd period, the Generals completed their scoring with goals from Braeden Kennedy and Tyler Ramm. Nick Rogers scored both Danbury goals. D’Mar McCoy made 18 saves in the win, while Brennan Churchill made 45 saves in the loss.
