NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending February 27, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Layten Liffrig, Forward, Rochester Grizzlies
Rochester Grizzlies forward Layten Liffrig earned this week's Central Division Star of the Week after his four game performance totalling 9 points. The Mankato, MN native scored a goal in each game of the four games he appeared in while adding three assists. This season, Liffrig has played in 22 games with the Grizzlies and has totalled 35 points with 13 goals and 22 assists.

Northeast Generals blue-liner, Eddie Mulligan, played outstanding in the three games he appeared in to earn the East Division Star of the Week. The defenseman recorded 2 goals and 6 assists to total 8 points while adding an impressive +12 rating on the ice. The Lincoln, RI native has played in 41 games this year and has totalled 45 points (6G, 39A).

Great Falls Americans forward Tommy Gazich put up big numbers in the two games he appeared in to claim the Frontier Division Star of the Week. Gazich, a Hopkins, MN native, found the back of the net 5 times and added two assists for 7 points in just two games. Gazich has played in 37 games this season totalling 51 points with 28 goals and 23 assists.

South Division Star of the Week: Andrew Owens, Goalie, Oklahoma City Ice Hawks
Oklahoma City Ice Hawks netminder Andrew Owens earned this week’s South Division Star of the Week. Owens went 3-0 between the pipes and mixed in two shutouts in those games. The Richmond, VA native combined a 1.37 GAA and a .927 SV% after stopping 51 of the 55 shots he faced. Owens has a perfect record this season of 6-0, two shutouts, a 2.37 GAA and a .886 SV%.
