Lumberjacks edge Toros on Thursday, 3-2

Granite City 3 @ Mason City 2 – In the lone NA3HL game on Thursday, the Lumberjacks won their fourth straight game and moved their record to 21-1-1 overall on the season thanks to a 3-2 win in Mason City. Granite City never trailed in the game as they jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Andrew Butler. Mason City tied things up at 1-1 as Jordan Newpower scored early in the 2nd period. Later in the 2nd period, a power play goal from Coby Weber made it 2-1 for Granite City. Early in the 3rd period, the Toros again tied the game as Carter Newpower scored on the power play to make it 2-2. Halfway through the final frame the Lumberjacks netted the game-winner off the stick of Jack Louko. Ryan Lehet made 24 saves in the win, while Connor Graham made 25 saves in the loss. Boxscore
