New Hampshire hands Northeast first loss of season
Northeast 2 @ New Hampshire 3 – The last undefeated team remaining in the NA3HL, the Northeast Generals, are undefeated no more as the New Hampshire Mountain Kings handed them their first loss on Wednesday thanks to a 3-2 home win. Mountain Kings goalie Manny Pantow was the star of the game, making 35 saves in the win. The Generals had a 1-0 lead after the 1st period thanks to a goal from Gabe Vijuk. New Hampshire tied the game early in the 2nd period on a goal from Ryan Hiles. The Generals would regain a one-goal edge later in the period with a goal from Nicholas Summers. In the 3rd period, the Mountain scored twice on a power play goal from Braeden Gagnon and the game-winner from Tanner Anctil. Generals goalie Mike Foglia made 18 saves in the loss.
New Jersey 3 @ Danbury 4 (SO) – The Jr. Hat Tricks erased an early Titans lead and eventually won in a shootout, 4-3. The Titans scored a couple of goals early in the game to take a 2-0 lead as Zane Mazzola struck for back-to-back goals. Danbury would knot the game at 2-2 later in the period with goals from Lou Caulfield and Aidan Klen. In the 3rd period, Mazzola struck again for his hat-trick to make it 3-2 for New Jersey, but Danbury again would answer as Logan Hooser scored to make it 3-3 sending the game into extra time. In the shootout, Kenny Granacker was the lone shooter of the day to net a goal, giving Danbury the win and extra point. Chris Panza made 37 saves in the win, while Avery Rovira-Hewitt made 18 saves in the loss.
