Sunday Wrap-Up: Capitals use OT to win series over RoadRunners
Glen Farmer had a hat-trick for Norwich in a 5-2 win on Sunday.
Texas RoadRunners 1 @ Atlanta Capitals 2 (OT): Starting off the night with a slow first period so we head into the second where the Texas Road Runners scored a goal by Brayden Bibby, and one goal for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Zane Hultquist making the score 1-1. After a slow third period, we head into overtime where Aldiyar Irik scored for the Atlanta Capitals making the final score 2-1. Alex Croy saved 42 shots for the win, while Krzysztof Jakubowski saved 31 shots in the loss.
Norwich Sea Captains 5 @ Danbury Jr Hat Tricks 2: In the first period the Norwich Sea Captains scored a goal by Glen Farmer, and one goal for the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks scored by Carter Krohn making the score 1-1. In the second period, the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks scored a goal by Eryk Fancher making the score 2-1. In the third period, the Norwich Sea Captains scored four goals, two by Glen Farmer giving him the only Hat Trick of the night, one by Chase Leivian, and Chris Hamilton making the final score 5-2. Kevin MacDonald saved 18 shots for the win, while Carter Hill saved 46 shots in the loss.
Long Beach Sharks 2 @ Northeast Generals 3: Starting off the night in the first period the Long Beach Sharks scored a goal by Devon Fay making the score 1-0. In the second period, the Northeast Generals scored two goals by Anthony Nuzzolilo, and Gabe Vijuk making the score 2-1. In the third period, the Long Beach Sharks scored a goal by Chris Keller, and one goal for the Northeast Generals was scored by Reese Tamburo making the final score 3-2. Daniel Antal saved 23 shots for the win, while Joey Christophel saved 54 shots in the loss.
West Bend Power 2 @ Peoria Mustangs 4: In the first period the West Bend Power scored a goal by Oliver Schroeder making the score 1-0. In the second period, the Peoria Mustangs scored three goals, two by Unknown Player 1, and one by Johnny Switzer making the score 3-1. In the third period, the West Bend Power scored a goal by Bryce Garber, and one goal for the Peoria Mustangs was scored by Blake Mitchell making the final score 4-2. Travis Visvadra saved 38 shots for the win, while Gavin Wohlmacher saved 26 shots in the loss.
