NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending January 7, 2024. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Wyatt O’Donoghue, Defenseman, Peoria Mustangs
Peoria defenseman Wyatt O’Donoghue posted 4 points over two games earning the title as Central Division Star of the Week. In a two game set against St. Louis, the Lincoln, IL native netted three goals and dished out an assist. O’Donoghue has appeared in 29 games this season where he has totalled 15 points with 4 goals and 11 assists.

East Division Star of the Week: Blake Alexander, Forward, Norwich Sea Captains
Sea Captains forward Blake Alexander had a fantastic game over the weekend to earn East Division Star of the Week. The Mansfield, CT native posted a hat-trick in a 7-1 win against the New Jersey Titans. Alexander has played in 29 games for the Sea Captains this season, combining for 7 points on the year.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Braylon Rogers, Goalie, Butte Irish
Irish netminder Braylon Rogers added back-to-back wins under his belt, bringing his streak to four wins in a row, which helped with Butte’s midseason mark push for points in the Frontier Division. The Billings, MT native turned away 74 shots in a weekend series against Great Falls. In those two games, Rogers combined for a 1.50 GAA and a .961 SV%. So far this season, Rogers has a 9-7 record in net, a 3.44 GAA and a .925 SV%.

South Division Star of the Week: Owen Zenone, Goalie, New Mexico Ice Wolves
New Mexico goaltender Owen Zenone won two straight over the weekend in the Ice Wolves sweep over the El Paso Rhinos. After adding to the Ice Wolves spot at first in the South Division, the North Ridge, OH native stopped 43 of the 44 shots he faced. Over those two games, Zenone posted a .500 GAA and a 1.00 SV%. Zenone has played in 14 games this season with a 13-1 record, .572 GAA and a .969 SV%.

West Division Star of the Week: Nolan LaCosse, Goalie, Alexandria Blizzard
Riding a 9 game win streak, Nolan LaCosse has picked up 8 consecutive wins for the Alexandria Blizzard, including his most recent showing with back-to-back wins over the weekend. The Stillwater, MN met against the Willmar WarHawks and Granite City Lumberjacks over the weekend where he stopped 64 of the 69 shots he faced. In those two games, LaCosse tallied a 2.50 GAA and a .928 SV%. LaCosse has played in 25 games this season, where he holds an 18-5-1-1 record, 2.23 GAA and a .925 SV%.
