Drillers topple Capitals on Thursday, 9-2
Louisiana 9 @ Atlanta 2 – Four different players recorded three points for the Drillers as they picked up a 9-2 road win in the lone NA3HL game on Thursday.
The game was even at 1-1 after one period as Briggs Beam scored for Louisiana with Aidan Besedic answering for Atlanta.
In the 2nd period, the Capitals took a 2-1 lead on a goal from Ben Reimer, however, it will all Drillers after that point as they scored eight unanswered goals. Later in the 2nd period, goals from Alex Boyd, Johnathon Berndt, and Brendan Johnson made it a 4-2 score after two periods.
In the 3rd period, the Drillers added five more goals including another from Beam and others from Carson Shafor, Cheeno Gryska, Pierceton Vangurp, and Cole Stranathan.
Sebastian Thome made 34 saves in the win, while Alex Croy made 21 saves in the loss.
