Friday Finals: Ice Wolves win 4th straight to widen South lead

Helena goalie Alex Lamont had 19 saves in a 1-0 shutout on Friday, which was the 17th win in a row for the Bighorns.

Texas Brahmas 2 @ New Mexico Ice Wolves 4: In the first period the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored two goals by Ethan Secord, and Jack Arnold, and one goal for the Texas Brahmas scored by Joey Crowley making the score 2-1. In the second period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored a goal by Trey Erramouspe making the score 3-1. In the third period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored a goal by Zak Wentworth, and one goal for the Texas Brahmas scored by Cameron Colberg making the final score 4-2. Owen Zenone saved 12 shots for the win, while Luke Romney saved 32 shots in the loss.  

Helena Bighorns 1 @ Butte Irish 0: After a slow first and second period we headed into the third period, where the Helena Bighorns scored a goal by Jakob Losch making the final score 1-0. Alex Lamont saved 19 shots for the win and the shutout, while Braylon Rogers saved 48 shots in the loss.  

Louisiana Drillers 8 @ Atlanta Capitals 6: Starting off in the first period the Louisiana Drillers scored six goals by Charlie Benisch, Roman Vitolo, Ethan Littlefield, two by Carson Shafor, and one by Pierceton Vangurp, and two goals for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Dylan Wolf, and Scotty Allan making the score 6-2. In the second period, the Louisiana Drillers scored a goal by Pierceton Vangurp giving him the only Hat Trick of the night, and two goals for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Robbie Aranos, and Aidan Besedic making the score 7-4. In the third period, the Louisiana Drillers scored a goal by Brody Neish, and two goals for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Landon Hackler, and Brett Phillips making the final score 8-6. Sebastian Thome saved 22 shots for the win, while Damian Vandanacker saved 11 shots and Alex Croy saved 12 shots in the loss. 

West Bend Power 2 @ Peoria Mustangs 1 (SO): In the first period the West Bend Power scored a goal by Cole Fenske making the score 1-0. After a slow second period, we headed into the third period where the Peoria Mustangs scored a goal by Colin Cash making the score 1-1. In the shootout, the goal went to the West Bend Power making the final score 2-1. Brooks Barofsky saved 23 shots for the win, while Kason Yamada saved 47 shots in the loss. 

Granite City Lumberjacks 8 @ Willmar WarHawks 2: In the first period the Granite City Lumberjacks scored three goals by Joe Greniuk, TJ Lepisto, and Jack Marske, and one goal for the Willmar WarHawks scored by Nik Johnson making the score 3-1. In the second period, the Granite City Lumberjacks scored a goal by Sam Brennan making the score 4-1. In the third period, the Granite City Lumberjacks scored four goals by Joe Greniuk, Parker Comstock, Jack Marske, and Parker Mitchell, and one goal for the Willmar WarHawks scored by Tyler Misialek making the final score 8-2. Ryan Hacker saved 17 shots for the win, while Matyas Bajgar saved 33 shots in the loss. 

Bozeman Ice Dogs 3 @ Great Falls Americans 2 (SO): After a slow first period we headed into the second where the, Great Falls Americans scored two goals by Masen Kerr, and Jacob James, and one goal for the Bozeman Ice Dogs scored by Mason Czarnecki making the score 2-1. In the third period, the Bozeman Ice Dogs scored a goal by Mason Czarnecki making the score 2-2. In the shootout, the goal goes to the Bozeman Ice Dogs making the final score 3-2. Sean Smer saved 43 shots for the win, while Kaden Ryhder saved 37 shots in the loss. 

Mid Cities Jr Stars 1 @ El Paso Rhinos 10: In the first period the El Paso Rhinos scored a goal by Trevor Stenglein making the score 1-0. In the second period, the El Paso Rhinos scored five goals two by Joseph Gutierrez, one by Trevor Stenglein, and two by Tyler Kowalchuk, and one goal for the Mid Cities Jr Stars scored by Jason Day making the score 6-1.
