NA3HL Announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

DALLAS, TEXAS – The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending January 14th. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Brooks Barofsky, Goalie, West Bend Power
West Bend Power goaltender Brooks Barofsky picked up back-to-back wins in between the pipes over the weekend. The Downers Grove, IL native turned away 47 tries on net while combining for a .960 GAA and a .931 SV% over two games. Barofsky holds a 11-3 record in net this season with a 1.90 GAA and a .938 SV%.

East Division Star of the Week: Colton McIntyre, Goalie, Long Beach Sharks
Long Beach Sharks netminder Colton McIntyre was strong in net over the weekend earning the East Division Star of the Week. The Park City, UT native picked up a statement win against the East’s top team, Northeast Generals, in a 5-0 shutout victory where he stopped 51 shots. In the following contest, McIntyre got the Sharks into overtime where he stopped an outstanding 62 of 65 shots. Over the two game set, McIntyre combined for a 1.50 GAA and a .947 SV%.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Isaac Young, Forward, Gillette Wild
Gillette Wild forward Isaac Young had an outstanding two game weekend where he totalled 12 points. The Fergus Falls, MN native kicked off the weekend with a 7 point night that included 3 goals and 4 assists. Following that showing, Young posted a 5 point game with 2 goals and 3 assists. Young has played in 27 games this season and has totalled 52 points, third most in the NA3HL.

South Division Star of the Week: Joseph Gutierrez, Forward, El Paso Rhinos
Rhinos forward Joseph Gutierrez was instrumental in El Paso picking up back-to-back wins in their push to the postseason. The Arvada, CO native combined for 7 points over two games with 3 goals and 4 assists. This season, Gutierrez has combined for 31 points over 29 games played.

West Division Star of the Week: Joe Gronholz, Forward, Alexandria Blizzard
Blizzard forward Joe Gronholz put up big numbers over a two game showing helping the team clinch a spot in the West for the 2024 Fraser Cup Playoffs. The Alexandria, MN native started the weekend with a 4 point night scoring 2 goals and 2 assists. In the following showing, Gronholz netted a goal and dished out 4 assists. Gronholz has appeared in 15 games this season where he’s combined for 25 points.
