The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks took home a 4-3 shootout win over the New Jersey Titans in a Tuesday matinee at the Danbury Ice Arena. The Jr. Hat Tricks got on the board first as Brody Trew found Aidan Anderson for his 13th goal of the season. The lead was short-lived as Grant Coykendall stuck just 2:30 later to tie the game at one.
Lucas Carney put the Titans in front in the opening minutes of the second period with his sixth goal of the season. Later on in the frame, Danbury would find the back of the net as Luca Restauri scored his sixth of the year.
Heading into the final period tied at two, both teams traded chances until Carney netted his second goal of the game with just 2:14 remaining in regulation. With just over a minute remaining, Aidan Klen beat Aidan Patterson to tie the game at three and force overtime.
After a scoreless overtime, we would head to a shootout. After both teams scored in round one, Trew netted the game deciding goal in round two and the win was solidified by a Riley Gorman save on the other end.
