NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending February 25th. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Ricky Nelson, Forward, Wausau Cyclones
Cyclones forward Ricky Nelson was a key in Wausau winning two games over the weekend to clinching the Central Division standings. Nelson, a native of Edina, MN, added a goal and an assist in the Cyclones 3-1 win over Wisconsin Friday night. The following night, Nelson netted a goal and dished out an assist in Wausau’s 6-3 win over West Bend. Nelson has played in 41 games this season with 60 points.

East Division Star of the Week: Glen Farmer, Forward, Norwich Sea Captains
Norwich forward Glen Farmer was instrumental in the Sea Captains weekend sweep over New Jersey where he combined for five points in two games. The Raleigh, NC native posted three points in the weekend opener where he scored a goal and handed out two assists as Norwich won 8-1. The next night, Farmer added two goals in the second period as Norwich edged New Jersey 5-4. Farmer has appeared in 44 games this year where he has 17 goals and 18 assists.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Kaden Rhyder, Goalie, Great Falls Americans
In an effort to keep the Americans postseason hopes alive, goaltender Kaden Rhyder rose to the occasion picking up two curtail wins for Great Falls heading into the final week of regular season play. The Elizabethtown, PA native faced off against the Badlands Sabres and on Friday night the netminder turned away 40 shots in a 3-2 win. In the weekend finale, Rhyder was called upon again in between the pipes where he was fantastic stopping 51 shots on net. Rhyders’ play was good for a 2.00 GAA and a .957 SV% over the weekend. Kaden has played in 26 games this season where he holds a 13-10-0-1 record, 3.09 GAA and a .927 SV%.

South Division Star of the Week: Zak Wentworth, Forward, New Mexico Ice Wolves
New Mexico forward Zak Wentworth helped the Ice Wolves in keeping atop of the South Division after totalling five points over three games. The Durango, CO native who is in his second season with the Ice Wolves, had an assist to start off the weekend. In game two of the weekend series, Wentworth netted four goals. This season, Wentworth has played in 44 games where he has combined for 42 points.

West Division Star of the Week: Parker Mitchell, Forward, Granite City Lumberjacks
Granite City forward Parker Mitchell was big for the Lumberjacks in picking up four points in the West Division after a weekend sweep over the Mason City Toros. The Mora, MN native accounted for a goal and two assists in the Jacks 8-2 win over the Toros. The following night's game went to overtime where Mitchell added an assist and the game winning goal for a 3-2 final. Mitchell has played in 33 games this season where he’s recorded 31 points.
