Willmar Forward Hinze Signs NAHL Tender
The Willmar WarHawks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are pleased to announce that forward Nathan Hinze has signed a NAHL tender agreement with the Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Hinze, 19, is six foot forward and a native of Carver, Minnesota playing in his first season of junior hockey. He was a three year member of the Chaska High School hockey team and was the captain his senior year.
In 29 appearances for the WarHawks, Hinze has notched three goals and 16 points. His 13 assists rank fifth on the club.
He made his biggest impact right around the NA3HL Showcase in late December where he picked up seven points in seven games. He’s also coming off a multi point outing against the Minnesota Loons where he grabbed two assists in his team’s victory.
“We knew the type of character and skill set Nathan brought after getting to know him and seeing his game over the summer. Playing a 200 foot game with his skill set, It was to no ones surprise he would be setting himself up quickly finding a NAHL team for the following season.” said WarHawks GM Connor White.
The WarHawks currently sit in fifth place in the NA3HL’s West Division.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2024 NAHL Draft.
