Drillers Move Into Final Playoff Spot
New Hampshire 3 @ Danbury 2: Aidan Palmeter scored in the final minute of regulation to lift the Jr. Mountain Kings to a 3-2 win over the Jr. Hat Tricks. Lucas Nafe scored his first goal of the season to open the scoring for Danbury. In the opening seconds of the middle frame, Braeden Gagnon tied the game with his 11th of the campaign. In the third period, New Hampshire took their first lead of the day as Jory Veenstra scored his 22nd of the season. Lou Caulfield tied things up just about five minutes later. As the final minute of regulation began Leonardo Kahlhammer found Palmeter in front and he buried the game winner, it was his seventh goal of the year. Manny Pantow stopped 19 shots to earn the win in goal. Markus Paltauf had the game of his life as he stopped 73 shots for Danbury.
Atlanta 1 @ Louisiana 2: The Louisiana Drillers moved into the final playoff spot in the South Division as they doubled up the Atlanta Capitals 2-1. Ethan Fredericks put Atlanta in front first as he netted his third goal of the year. Five minutes later Carson Shafor tied the game at one with his fifth tally of the season. The game would remain tied until the final few minutes when Jake Bergstrom scored to give Louisiana the win and crucial two points. Sebastian Thome stopped 25 shots in the win for Louisiana while Alex Croy was saddled with the loss as he made 33 stops for Atlanta.
