Sunday Wrap Up: Drillers, Brahmas Claim Final Playoff Spots

Carson Gotelaere scored twice as New Mexico swept Austin to close out the season

New Hampshire Jr Mountain Kings 3 @ Northeast Generals 4 (OT): In the first period the New Hampshire Jr Mountain Kings scored two goals by Xander St Pierre, and Leonardo Kahlhammer making the score 2-0. In the second period, the Northeast Generals scored two goals by Blake Hasenauer, and Sean Gorman making the score 2-2. In the third period, the Northeast General scored a goal by Brandon Hemmer, and one goal for the New Hampshire Jr Mountain Kings scored by Aiden Palmeter making the score 3-3. In overtime, the Northeast Generals scored a goal by Anthony Nuzzolio making the final score 4-3. Mike Foglia saved 28 shots for the win, while Jake Agoglia saved 37 shots in the loss.

New Mexico Ice Wolves 7 @ Austin Ice Bats 2: In the first period the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored three goals by Stanley Hubbard, and two by Carson Gotelaere, and two goals for the Austin Ice Bats scored by Dustin Smith, and Will Dyker making the score 3-2. In the second period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored three goals by Braeden Whitesell, Brady Nance, and Stanley Hubbard making the score 6-2. In the third period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored a goal by Trey Erramouspe making the final score 7-2. Pierson Haislet saved 21 shots for the win, while Bryson Frazee saved 85 shots in the loss.

El Paso Rhinos 6 @ Mid Cities Jr Stars 0: In the first period the El Paso Rhinos scored two goals by Donovan Bradford, and Koltan Plant making the score 2-0. In the second period, the El Paso Rhinos scored two goals by Mackenzie Bolger, and Nick Jones making the score 4-0. In the third period, the El Paso Rhinos scored two goals by Austin Renaldo, and Zach Marsell making the final score 6-0. Philip O’Neil saved 23 shots for the win and shutout, while Kameron Ragon saved 62 shots in the loss.

Atlanta Capitals 4 @ Louisiana Drillers 7: In the first period the Louisiana Drillers scored a goal by Briggs Beam, and two goals for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Brad Camp, and Aldiyar Irik making the score 2-1. In the second period, the Louisiana Drillers scored three goals two by Briggs Beam giving him a Hat Trick, and one by Colton Sebastian, and one goal for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Landon Hackler making the score 4-3. In the third period, the Louisiana Drillers scored three goals by Dominic Toews, Johnathon Berndt, and Brody Neish, and one goal for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Anthony O’Neal making the final score 7-4. Sebastian Thome saved 20 shots for the win, while Damian Vandanacker saved 33 shots in the loss. 

Minnesota Loons 1 @ Willmar WarHwaks 10: In the first period the Willmar WarHawks scored a goal by Hayden Kolczynski making the score 1-0. In the second period, the Willmar WarHawks scored five goals two by Spencer Bergman, one by Hudson Zinda, Jordan Fields, and Scott Woltman making the score 6-0.
