Oregon goaltender Fromolz makes NCAA Commitment

April 22, 2024

The Oregon Tradesmen of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Tyler Fromolz has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Marian University in the NCHA.

Fromolz, 19, is playing his second season of junior hockey in the NA3HL. The Waupun, WI native spent both seasons of his NA3HL career with the Oregon Tradesmen, dressing in a total of 68 games. Throughout his time with the Tradesmen, Fromolz had an impressive record of 40-17-8, earning him not one, but two call ups to the Austin Bruins of the NAHL.

Standing strong between the pipes, the 6’2” netminder helped the Tradesmen make a Fraser Cup playoff run appearing in 10 playoff games throughout his time in Oregon.

“We are very proud of Tyler for his commitment to Marian and for what he has done for the Tradesmen over the last couple of years,” Head Coach Eric Fenton states. “He was a big reason we have had a lot of success in that time and he will be a huge asset for the Marian program. We wish him all the best.”

Fromolz also played in the NAPHL Fall League in the 2021-2022 season for the Janesville Jets and is the first player to commit for the Tradesmen this season.
