Brahmas duo makes ACHA Commitment
The Texas Brahmas of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Brendan Forden and defenseman Alex Cagan have committed to play ACHA DI hockey for the University of Oklahoma.
Forden, 19, has been with the Brahmas for two seasons, appearing in a total of 50 regular season games for his hometown team. The Plano, TX native has a record of 31-13-5, a save percentage of .916% and a GAA of 2.16, including four total shutouts.
Cagan, 19, also has been with the Brahmas for two seasons, appearing in a total of 87 regular season games. While wearing the Brahmas sweater, the Corte Madera, CA native recorded 45 points (13 goals, 32 assists).
Both being two-year players for the Brahmas, the duo made an appearance during the Fraser Cup Playoffs during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons. Forden had a playoff record of 4-4, a .901 save percentage and GAA of 2.89. Meanwhile, Cagan was able to tally an additional goal and two assists for Texas during the postseason.
Forden and Cagan are the third and fourth players to commit for Texas this season.
