WarHawks forward Cantwell makes NCAA Commitment

The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Forward Gus Cantwell has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for New England College of the NEHC!
Cantwell 21, 5’8″ / 185lb. Winger from St. Paul, MN. Just finished his 3rd season of junior hockey, 2 seasons where he led the New Ulm Steel, and this past season with the WarHawks after being acquired via trade. He finished 2nd on the team with 11 goals / 26 assists tallying 37 points in 45 games played. A NA3HL career stat of 119 points, 52 goals and 67 assists over 137 games. Gus joined the WarHawks via trade last summer from the Wisconsin Woodsmen (former New Ulm Steel). Cantwell who earned his way to become captain of the WarHawks also went on to be selected to the NA3HL Top Prospects for the 3rd consecutive season.
Cantwell will be joining former WarHawk Gunnar Sibley who committed to NEC last summer and played there this past season having a huge impact finishing 2nd on the Pilgrims roster in points as a freshman while playing in all 25 games.
