Bighorns forward Crooks makes NCAA Commitment
The Helena Bighorns of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Patrick Crooks has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Anna Maria College.
Crooks, 20, is a NA3HL veteran who joined the league during the 2020-2021 season with the Great Falls Americans. Since joining the NA3HL, the Billings, MT native has suited up for the Americans, Gillette Wild, Butte Irish and most recently, the Helena Bighorns.
Throughout his career, Crooks has appeared in 106 games, recording 136 points (72 goals, 64 assists) with his best plus-minus coming in this season at +14. Of his 72 goals, 9 were game winners while 28 were on the powerplay.
In addition to the 4 playoff games Crooks played with Butte, the ‘03 appeared in 8 postseason games this season, tallying 3 goals and 6 assists while securing the Fraser Cup Championship.
"We always had our eye on Patrick Crooks and knew he would be one of the best goal scorers in the league. The minute we brought Crooks in at the deadline, not only did he make an impact on the ice he also made an impact in the dressing room and around the community. It was the pleasure to coach Crooks and we are going to miss having him," stated Helena Head Coach Damon Hanson.
Crooks is the 8th player to commit from the Bighorns this season.
