Sheridan veteran Sparks makes ACHA Commitment
The Sheridan Hawks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Makhai Sparks has committed to play ACHA DI hockey for Grand Canyon University.
A veteran of the NA3HL, Sparks began his junior hockey career during the 2021-22 season, splitting time between the Bozeman Ice Dogs and Sheridan Hawks. Throughout his 109 games, 6 of which being Fraser Cup Playoff games, the Boise, ID native recorded 142 points (64 goals, 78 assists). With great offensive success, Sparks was able to get on the scoresheet 3 or more times in a single contest on over 15 occasions, including a slew of 5 point games.
Sparks was selected to participate in the 2022 Top Prospects Tournament and was also called up to the NAHL level with the Minnesota Wilderness and Colorado Grit for a total of 17 games.
Sparks is the 8th player to commit for the Hawks this season.
