Blizzard veteran Gronholz makes ACHA Commitment
The Alexandria Blizzard of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that veteran Joe Gronholz has committed to play ACHA DI hockey for the University of Mary.
Gronholz began his junior career during the 2019-20 season with the Blizzard, appearing in a handful of games at the conclusion of his high school season and would eventually suit up 97 games in Alexandria, including 11 Fraser Cup Playoff games. As a huge contributor for the Blizzard, the 6’1” forward racked up a total of 116 points (43 goals, 74 assists). Of his 43 goals, 9 were the deciding factor for Alexandria while 11 came on the powerplay and 3 were shorthanded.
Being over a point per game player during his career, Gronholz was selected to participate in the 2024 Top Prospects Tournament.
Gronholz is the 6th player to commit for the Blizzard this season.
