Power forward Johnson makes NCAA Commitment
The West Bend Power of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Nik Johnson has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Northland College in the WIAC.
Johnson, 20, is a two-year NA3HL player, suiting up for the Willmar WarHawks and the West Bend Power. Appearing in a total of 99 games, 9 of which being Fraser Cup Playoff games, the Minneapolis,MN native recorded 59 points (23 goals, 36 assists). Johnson was able to record one or more points in four consecutive games on two separate occasions, recording two points in four of those games.
“Nik came to the Power last season and his addition was a key to the success we had. Nik brings an energy and passion that is hard to duplicate,” stated West Bend Head Coach Jason Woods. “I am so excited for him to receive this opportunity and I know he will continue to be a positive influence and energy maker for his new teammates!”
Johnson is the 5th player to commit for the Power this season.
