3View: Mason City Toros

The 3View video series will feature an in-depth look into all NA3HL teams in preparation for the 2024-25 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 6th. 3View will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2024-25 season. 

Mason City Toros

Head Coach: Mark Hicks (Going on 2nd season)

2023-24 season record: 24-20-3-0 (4th in West Division)

2023-24 leading scorer: Jax Schauer (55 points)

2024 Playoffs: Eliminated by Granite City in the first round 

2024-25 Division: West Division 

The West Division is composed of a fraternity of brothers as Toros Head Coach Mark Hicks has coached alongside and against a majority of coaches within his division. Every year when looking at Mason City’s organization, a large handful of players advance to not only college hockey but the NAHL as well. Hicks plans to continue his successful model of development in terms of player advancement in addition to seeing his players map out their future in the classroom for their bright futures ahead.
