NA3HL Announces Monthly Player Awards for September
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) is pleased to announce the monthly player awards for the month of September. Vincent Leaf from the Sheridan Hawks has been selected as Forward of the Month. Braeden Gagnon from the New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings has been selected as Defenseman of the Month and Luke Romney of the Texas Brahmas has been selected as Goaltender of the Month.
NA3HL Forward of the Month: Vincent Leaf, Sheridan Hawks
Appearing in seven games thus far this season, the Des Moines, IA native has accumulated 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists), in addition to maintaining a plus-minus of +10. As the first place team in the Frontier Division, Leaf and the Hawks have had great success to start the season with an overall record of 6-1-1-0. Registering a point during all seven games, the ‘05 forward had his best contest to date on September 27th as he was able to score one power play goal in addition to notching four assists against the Badlands Sabres.
“Vince is an extremely talented player and an even better teammate. He’s been a huge part of our success, every guy in our locker room knows how much he cares and wants to win, which rubs off on the rest of the team,” stated Hawks Head Coach JJ Santagata. “He’s earned every point and especially this honor as Forward of the Month.”

NA3HL Defenseman of the Month: Braeden Gagnon, New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings
As an over a point per game player, Braeden Gagnon has held down New Hampshire’s blueline while also contributing offensively for his squad. As the first place team in the East Division, Gagnon and the Jr. Mountain Kings have posted a 5-1-0-0 record, the Lewiston, ME native recording 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists). In addition to scoring in three consecutive games, Gagnon tallied two goals on the powerplay and potted the game winner against the Long Beach Sharks.
“Braeden has been with our organization since he was a 16U player, all his hard work on and off the ice has prepared him for the success he’s achieved at the junior level,” stated Jr. Mountain Kings Head Coach Clint Cassavaugh. “I look forward to watching Braeden continue to develop and see where this season takes him.”

NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Luke Romney, Texas Brahmas
Luke Romney and the Texas Brahmas have been off to an incredible start as one of two undefeated teams remaining in the NA3HL with a record of 6-0-0-0. The second-year goaltender for the Brahmas has appeared in four games, posting an impressive three consecutive shutouts. Over the course of four games, the Winter Garden, FL native has been faced with 100 shots, turning away 99 for a goals against average of .250, maintaining a save percentage of .990.
“Luke has been outstanding for us so far but his unbelievable character and his drive is what’s led to his early success,” stated Brahmas Head Coach Chad Bailey. “He has taken a giant step from year one to year two and it’s undoubtedly due to the extra work he’s put in over the past year. I truly can’t wait to see him continue down his path and stick to his process of getting even better as the season goes on.”
