The sustained pressure proved to be too much for the Capitals to handle, as they allowed one goal in the first period, two in the second, and four in the third.In similar fashion, the Capitals were their own worst enemy as all four third period goals came on the Ice Bats power play. Austin goaltender Gavin Morris was a perfect 30 saves on 30 shots as the Ice Bats never looked back on the Capitals.
