Atlanta 3 @ Tulsa 1 - Tulsa entered Saturday’s contest hoping to record its first win of the season. Unfortunately, their losing streak to begin the year continued against the Atlanta Capitals. Ben Reimer scored his fifth goal of the season for Atlanta halfway through the first period to open the scoring. Atlanta and the Jr. Oilers played to a scoreless second period. In the third, the Capitals scored twice in less than a minute right before the halfway point. Tulsa’s Caden Vos scored his sixth of the season late in the third, but it was too little, too late for the Jr. Oilers.

Alexandria 4 @ Minnesota W 3 (OT) - Alexandria fell behind a couple times on Saturday against Minnesota. Minnesota opened the scoring in the first period thanks to Tyler Webb. And in the middle frame, the Wilderness played themselves into a 3-2 lead. However, the Blizzard stormed back. Alexandria’s Eli Fletcher scored twice as they mounted a comeback and forced overtime. The two teams battled for the game-winner before Blizzard defenseman Easton Schmit found the back of the net to complete the come-from-behind victory for his team.

Binghamton 4 @ Norwich 1 - Binghamton were outshot 32-23 on the night by Norwich. But this did not stop the Buzz’s offense on Saturday. Jason DiMatteo scored his 16th of the year – and first of two goals on the night – in the first period. Binghamton doubled their lead in the second period before scoring another two in the third period to make it 4-0. The Sea Captains did avoid a shutout as Mitchell Goodman fired a shot home for the first time this season. But Buzz goalie Dalton Elliott turned aside 31 shots to help his team claim a victory away from home.

Mason City 3 @ Minnesota M 5 - Mason City and Minnesota played a competitive game through 40 minutes on Saturday night. The Toros received first-period goals from Andrew Winter and Easton Simpson before the Moose saw Kellen Kantaris and Jameson Clark tie the game. In the second, Jack Marske gave the Moose the lead, but it did not last long. Mason City’s Michael Ertle scored his first of the year at 9:31 to bring the game level once more. These teams entered the third period tied 3-3, but the Moose finally pulled away. Max Johnson scored less than five minuted into the period. And Reid Watson’s seventh goal of the season put the finishing touches on Minnesota’s 5-3 victory over Mason City.

Texas R 2 @ Texas B 4 - It was a showdown worth watching deep in the heart of Texas as the RoadRunners and Brahmas clashed on Saturday. In the end, the Brahmas remained undefeated to begin the season. Skylar Bawcom scored his 16th of the season as the RoadRunners raced out to a 2-0 lead. However, the Brahmas scored four unanswered to skate away with the win. Chase Forry led the way for the hosting Brahmas as he scored twice, giving him 13 goals on the season.

Rochester 1 @ Wisconsin 5 - Maxim Lazo would finally break through in the second period to put the Woodsmen up early in the second frame. Pierson Zittel would then later light the lamp, giving Wisconsin the 2-0 lead after 40 minutes. Gavin Black would have a response for Rochester, as he would cut the lead in half. Lazo would have other plans, scoring two quick goals to complete the hat trick. Hugh Deinema would seal this game for Wisconsin, backed by his goaltender, Lleyton Jaschke, who picked up 20 saves in the win.

Peoria 2 @ St. Louis 5 - After St. Louis picked up a win on Friday, the two teams would meet again. Caden Sadtler would get the Blues up early before Jordan Mini would respond with a goal of his own. Kelly Coldwater would notch a power play marker to which Mini would respond yet again to level this one at two. Coldwater would score another goal in the second, giving the Blues the lead. Joseph LoPiccolo and Brayden Davis would score insurance markers to lead the Blues to another win over Peoria. Travis Visvadra had 34 saves in the win, with his teammate, Eric Denny, collecting three assists as well.

Wausau 2 @ West Bend 3 (OT) - Wausau would enter this game undefeated, with West Bend looking to change that. Connor Dvorak and the Cyclones would get the ball rolling in the first period to take a lead heading into the dressing room. Brody Josselyn would tie this game at one midway through the second and Tommy Kundinger would notch a power play goal to give West Bend the lead. Micah Saxon would be the hero for the Cyclones, as he would send this game to overtime nearing the final minute of regulation. The Power would be the more dominant team in overtime, leading to Jackson Hoem upsetting the Cyclones. Ben Glaesman picked up the win with 30 saves and Dereck Namlick was handed the loss with 35 saves.

Willmar 0 @ Granite City 3 - After a scoreless opening frame, Blake Schultz would break the ice on a shorthanded goal. Granite City would struggle to solve the WarHawks goaltender, Kai Girard, as he would make 35 saves through the two periods. Seth Terhell would finally find the twine, leading to Patty Dunaiski scoring another goal to give the Lumberjacks a 3-0 lead. Girard would make 50 saves in the loss, while on the other end, Trent Peterson would get the shutout victory.

Long Beach 7 @ Northeast 6 (OT) - Ryan Solari and Samuel Gusty would score within seconds of each other to give the Generals the early momentum. Aidan Anderson would score his second in as many days, giving Northeast the big lead in the first. Sam O'Neil would finally get the Sharks on the board as he would take advantage of the powerplay. Solari would regain the three-goal lead for the Generals, giving them the 4-1 lead. Mason Jackson would go on to score twice and Mason White would add another to tie this game through 40 minutes. Ross Temple would score a man down and Bohdan Tuchyn would respond to tie the game. The comeback would be completed when Jay Montgomery would score to steal this game for the Sharks. Turner England would secure the win with 34 saves.

Yellowstone 0 @ Gillette 9 - Two goals each from Michael Mckernan and Beau Delich, and an excellent power play powered the Gillette Wild to a 9-0 win over the Yellowstone Quake on Saturday night. Goals 22 seconds apart from Christopher Lang and Max Arlt in the first period gave the Wild a 2 goal lead after 20 minutes, and they would continue the onslaught in the second. Just 38 seconds into the second, Mckernan would net his first of the night on the power play. Just before the midway point, Delich would net his first of the night, and then three goals in three minutes from Mckernan, Chase Hapka, and Brady McGinn flipped the game on it’s head. Zach Lebens would score on the man advantage with just under three minutes to go in the second, and the Wild would head to the second intermission up by eight. Just over three minutes into the third, Delich would complete the scoring for Gillette on the man advantage with his second of the night, and that would do it. In net, Austin Trieber would stop all 18 shots he faced, while Matthew Neeser and Nate Whitson would combine for 55 saves.

Helena 6 @ Bozeman 1 - Two goals from Finn Theriault powered the Helena Bighorns to their eighth consecutive win with a 6-1 win over the Bozeman Icedogs on Saturday night. In the first, Jason Hammett would score an early goal for Helena, but TJ Kelsey would net his third of the year to send the game to the first intermission tied at a goal apiece. The second period would be all Helena, as Cam Young and Theriault would score to give Helena a two goal lead after two periods. The third period would be back and forth, until Bozeman would receive a major penalty, and Helena would capitalize with three goals in two and a half minutes from Theriault, Austin Uecker, and Kelton Chadwick broke the game open, and 6-1 would be the final. Malik Johnson would stop 29 in the win, while Brett DeVincent would stop 48 in the losing effort.

Great Falls 4 @ Butte 5 - A back and forth game between the Butte Irish and Great Falls Americans saw the home Irish win by a final score of 5-4 on Saturday night. In the first, Ty O’Bey would net his first of the night to put the Americans up a goal, but that would be short lived, as just 90 seconds later Kazden Stineff would tie the game, and with just under two minutes to go, Zachary Nimetz would net his first of the season to give the Irish a one goal lead after the first. In the second, Loghan Weber would net his first of the night, but just two minutes later, Sebe Perez would cut the lead in half with his second of the season, and with just over two minutes to go, O’Bey would send the game to the second intermission deadlocked at three. In the third, Weber would score shorthanded to put Butte back up by a goal, and with just a minute to go, Easton Langemo would seal the deal for Butte. Blake Komrofske would get a late goal, but it would be too little too late. Manny Pantow would stop 44 in the win, while Kaden Rhyder would stop 41 in the loss.

Badlands 2 @ Sheridan 4 - Four separate goal scorers powered the Sheridan Hawks to a 4-2 win over the Badlands Sabres on Saturday night. In the first, Kyyan Jahner would open the scoring early for Badlands, but just over three minutes later, Kiefer Dunham would score shorthanded to keep the game deadlocked after 20 minutes. In the second, goals 36 seconds apart from Logan Hume and Logan Sidlauskas would give the Hawks a two goal lead, but Thayne Coston would cut that lead in half just before the end of the second. Just past the midway point of the third, Vincent Leaf would seal the deal for Sheridan. Badlands would hunt to get back into the game, but Ryan Rainey would shut the door with six stellar saves, part of his 21 of the night. Jackson Roethler would stop 35 in the loss.
