Northeast Tops New Hampshire on Wednesday
Northeast 5 @ New Hampshire 3 - After a slow start to the season, the Northeast Generals are starting to heat up. Connor Kirby and Nicholas Brophy scored in the opening period to give the Gens a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. Noah Levesque brought New Hampshire within one momentarily but Samuel Gusty restored the Generals two goal advantage. It was later in the middle frame that the Jr. Mountain Kings heated up as Cameron Fan and Aidan Palmeter scored within 44 seconds of each other to even the game at three heading into the third and final frame. The last period belonged to Michael McLaughlin who scored two goals, his fifth and sixth tallies of the season to give the Generals the victory. Jascha Grossenbacher was the winner in the blue paint as he finished the afternoon with 34 saves. Evan Johnson was dealt the loss as he stopped 39 of 44 shots he faced. Northeast improves to 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.
