Bulls Harrison and Marsh make NCAA plans
The North Iowa Bulls, proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League (3HL) are pleased to announce a pair of players has announced their NCAA commitment to St. Olaf College. St. Olaf, one of the top Division III programs in the nation, have added Bulls defenseman Brian Harrison and forward Nick Marsh.
Both players have been top producers for the North Iowa squad in their inaugural season. Brian and Nick have both been accepted to St. Olaf College as early decision candidates. “The entire staff of the North Iowa Bulls wishes Brian and Nick the best of luck in their academic and hockey endeavors at St. Olaf College,” said head coach Todd Sanden. “We are so pleased that they were able to make their college plans while playing for the Bulls in the 3HL.”
Harrison, 19, has appeared in 30 games to far this season, registering 14 points (4 goals, 9 assists). Marsh, 19, has appeared in 32 games this season with 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists). Marsh is currently riding a six-game scoring streak.
“St. Olaf College is excited to add both Nick Marsh and Brian Harrison to the 2012 recruiting class,” said St. Olaf head coach Sean Goldsworthy. “We feel that Marsh will add immediate depth to our forwards next season, after playing a significant role with North Iowa. Harrison will be a nice addition to our defensive unit, as we have watched his progression from Shattuck St. Mary's through Jr-A hockey. We would like to thank Coach Sanden for his direct feedback and promotion of his players in North Iowa, as we plan to continue our relationship for many years."
