Outlaws announce roster moves
The North Iowa Outlaws have announced a four-player swing to their roster.
Among the new additions is a familiar face to Mason City as the Outlaws have brought back forward Joe Harcharik, from Des Moines, Iowa, who has been a part of every North Iowa team dating back to the 2005-06 season.
Harcharik has played in 131 Outlaws games with 51 career goals with playoff action is included. All this while endearing himself to the Mason City community and the team’s fan base. Harcharik began this season with the United States Hockey League’s Des Moines Buccaneers, playing one preseason game for his hometown team.
The Outlaws have also announced the signing of defenseman Ryan Peltoma, from Brainerd, Minn., who spent the last two seasons with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL playing in 97 games with 10 points (one goal, nine assists). Peltoma spent the preseason with the USHL’s Omaha Lancers before joining the Outlaws’ this week.
With the additions of Harcharik and Peltoma, the Outlaws traded the rights to defenseman Scott Barrera to the Springfield Jr. Blues and defenseman T.J. Poganski to the Kenai River Brown Bears for draft picks.
