Jr. Blues defenseman Roeder tenders with NAHL's Jets
The St. Louis Jr. Blues of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Adam Roeder has signed an NAHL tender with the Janesville Jets. The Jets play in the NAHL's North Division.
Roeder, who almost made the Jets 2013-14 roster, has been a stablizing force on the Jr. Blues blue line this season. Head Coach Chris Flaugher said, "We have had some challenges on defense this season. With only two returning defenseman, Roeder has stepped up and and played like a vet for us."
In 21 games this year, Roeder has 13 points in 21 games played. Flaugher continued, "We are excited and happy for Adam. If he gets the call to go this year, we would wish him well and send him on his way. Until he leaves, this season or next, Adam will be a big part of our team."
In addition, Roeder has also affiliated with the team for this season and he was called up to play for the Jets on Wednesday night when the Jets beat the Springfield Jr. Blues, 3-2. Roeder had two shots on goal and did no register a point and was even in plus/minus.
The affiliation means that Roeder can be called up to play for the Jets this season. If he plays enough games, he could end up on the roster full time. Head Coach Chris Flaugher said, "Adam has had a great year and has earned this opportunity. I think he'll do a great and be an effective player this year or next, whenever they take him full-time."
